How many doses come in an Ozempic package?
If you take the 0.5 mg, 1 mg, or 2 mg maintenance dose once a week, your pen will last one month and store four doses.
The quantity of medication in each Ozempic pen varies. You may have a pen that delivers 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, or 2 mg of medication each injection. It is dependent on how your doctor prescribes Ozempic and the dosage you are taking. The 0.25 mg dosage is a starting dose that is administered once a week. This pen is designed for treatment start at 0.25 mg and maintenance therapy at 0.5 mg. The pen contains four dosages of 0.25 mg and two doses of 0.5 mg. It can also provide four 0.5 mg dosages.
- A carton containing one pen with 4 mg/3 mL of Ozempic. This pen gives four weekly dosages of one milligram each injection. The carton also includes four NovoFine Plus needles. This pen is solely designed for maintenance therapy at a dosage of 1 mg. Each pen carries a month’s supply of medicine and delivers 4 doses of 1 mg strength.
- A carton containing one pen with 8 mg/3 mL of Ozempic. This pen gives four weekly dosages of two milligrams each injection. The carton also includes four NovoFine Plus needles. This pen is solely designed for maintenance therapy at a dosage of 2 mg. Each pen carries a month’s worth of medicine and delivers four doses of the 2 mg dosage.
